local windows installation - fails? - Posted: October 6, 2008 - 12:32 PM Quote and reply
Hi
As a newbee my first tour through this cms was dazzling, but now I got the hang of it and wonder about a few things.

First of all: There are no entries under Site Settings, so where can I change a template set

The editor, probably called xed, will stop immediately displaying any input the moment i start typing in the textbox, however de input was stored (a new way of blind typing i guess)

If I try to add a language like Dutch: Fatal error: Call to a member function setValues() on a non-object in F:\DevHTTPd\sitellite\inc\app\multilingual\forms\languages\add\index.php on line 39

So I guess I did something wrong. I'm using:
Windows XP and Vista with IE7
Installation on a virtual host
Xampp 1.6.7 (which works fine)
Sitellite 5 Open Source

Hey,

Just saw your post now. This is the old forum (we've switched to Google Groups) so I wasn't looking on here actively, and we switched because email notices seem to work only intermittently on the forum now...

Anyway, it sounds like the issues are stemming from Sitellite being on Windows, which isn't tested nearly as extensively as other platforms. We work on Mac OS X here and typically deploy on Linux servers, so those platforms do work much more reliably.

I've got a virtual machine with Windows XP though, so let me see if I can test this out and try to find a quick fix for these.

Regards,

Lux
