Our site requires pages to use one of 6 different templates: Services, Development, Technologies, Training, CSIRT and Company.
The only difference between these templates is the menu to the left of the main content area. What is the best approach for implementing these different page templates in Sitellite?

There are two approaches that come to mind. The first would involve setting up section index pages for each of those sections, but only creating one template. Next, create one sidebar box with the appropriate navigation for each of the sections and in its Properties > Show in Sections value choose the appropriate section index.
This will cause the right sidebar to come up for that section and any child page in that section of the site, but lets you use one global template.
The other option is to still define a section index for each of those sections, but creating a separate template for each as well, then under the section index page's Properties tab, set the template to the appropriate template. Any page under that section index will automatically inherit the right template choice from the section index page.
Those are probably the best ways to solve it. Which is better is mostly a matter of personal preference I'd say.
